Normal Parks High School Summer Theatre is celebrating its' 40th Anniversary this summer! Come out and help us celebrate as you enjoy the production of Les Miserables performed by one of the finest High School Theatre groups in downstate Illinois. Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, Les Miserables is a musical by Claude-Michel Schonberg. Set in early 19th century France, the plot follows the stories of many characters as they struggle for redemption and revolution. Opening on Broadway in 1987, it closed after 6,680 performances and is the third longest running Broadway show in history. It was nominated for 12 Tony Awards and won 8, including Best Musical & Best Original Score. Tickets are only sold at performances. $4 Adults, $2 Students (completed 12th grade and younger), Free for Seniors (62 & older) and Children (5 & younger). Bring blankets or lawn chairs, insect repellent and a flashlight. Most concessions $1.
