2019 Manhole Rehabilitation and Replacement Project
The Town of Normal Public Works Department will receive sealed bids for the following:
2019 Manhole Rehabilitation and Replacement
Bids must be submitted to the Town Clerk in a sealed envelope clearly marked "2019 Manhole Rehabilitation and Replacement" with the time and date of the opening, which will be May 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time, at the Normal City Hall, 11 Uptown Circle, Normal, Illinois 61761. Work includes, but is not limited to, rehabilitating the interior of 14 sanitary manholes and replacing 3 sanitary manholes, along with associated traffic control and site restoration.
Any questions regarding this bid will be addressed at a pre-bid conference to be held on May 7, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at the Public Works Facility, 1301 Warriner Street in Normal. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. Town employees are otherwise prohibited from answering questions prior to the bid opening.
State statutes and local ordinance require the payment of prevailing wage by all contractors and subcontractors on this job. Bid forms, specifications and plan drawings may be obtained from the Issuing Office, Town of Normal, at their website: http://il-normal.civicplus.com/bids.aspx The Town of Normal reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive any formalities in the bidding procedures.
The bid award will be made by the Town Council and their decision will be final.
