Request for Proposal - 6/16/2008 - The Town of Normal invites proposals from qualified consultants to prepare the Town of Normal Bicycle Master Plan. The Bicycle Master Plan will guide planning, development, management, and operation of existing and future bicycle infrastructure.

Household garbage collection for the Memorial Day - 5/21/2008 - Residents are asked to place their household garbage at the curb after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, and prior to 5:00 a.m. on Monday. All other waste collection services (bulk waste, landscape waste and brush) will be collected the following day.

Spring Hydrant Flushing Schedule - 4/25/2008 - Fire hydrant flushing is performed to remove any sediment or stagnant water from the distribution system and to test fire hydrant operation.
Additional items are now being accepted at the Town of Normal’s electronics recycling drop-off site. - 4/25/2008 - Electronics recycling is available at the Normal Public Works Garage, 1301 Warriner St., Normal on Mon-Fri 7am to 2pm. Items are a donation to Recycling for Illinois of Peoria to be refurbished and given to low-income individuals with disabilities to enrich their lives.
May is National Preservation Month! - 4/24/2008 - The Town of Normal is celebrating our historic resources with an architectural treasure hunt. Beginning Friday, April 18, 2008 – Monday, May 5, 2008 residents are encouraged to pick up a treasure hunt form and complete it. All forms with the correct answers that are turned in to the City Clerk at 100 E. Phoenix Avenue, Normal, IL 61761 by NOON on Monday, May 5th are eligible for a prize drawing that evening before the Town Council meeting. Accreditation Assessment Team Invites Public Comment - 4/11/2008 - A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc., will be examining all aspects of the Normal Police Department's policy and procedures, management, operations and support services. As a part of the on-site assessment, the public and agency employees are invited to offer comments on the agency's services and performance at a public information session on April 22, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.

Public Meetings - 4/1/2008 - There will be two Public Meetings at the Normal Theater on Tuesday, April 8. At the 6:00 pm meeting the Uptown Parking Management Committee will present their current recommendations. The 8:30 am meeting will provide an update on the upcoming street and infrastructure construction projects in Uptown Normal for 2008 and 2009.

Martin Luther King holiday garbage collection - 1/16/2008 - Town of Normal offices will be closed for the Martin Luther King holiday on Monday, January 21; however, household garbage collection will take place as usual
