Summer is here, which means it’s time to get your play on. This July, discover the power of play with Normal Parks and Recreation as they celebrate Park and Recreation Month. A variety of fun activities are planned for residents of all ages and abilities.
Throughout the month of July, a town-wide scavenger hunt will allow participants to seek out colorfully decorated rocks around Normal Parks and Facilities. Clues to their location will be posted on the Normal Parks and Recreation Facebook page. Once found, they can be traded for a wonderful prize!
Brand new offerings will get people active. One event that is sure to get people moving is Fitness in the Park. Nothing will get the blood pumping like an early morning workout.
Other fun activities include a Lacrosse Skills Clinic and a Chicago Fire Soccer Clinic. These clinics will allow young athletes to hone their skills before their season begins, or just to try a new sport.
There will also be events to help keep the trees and flowers happy. These activities will help teach about proper maintenance of trees and perennials.
