Landscape Waste Collection – Not in Season

The Town of Normal is currently not collecting landscape waste curbside. However, brush (sticks) collection does continue through the winter months.

The Town of Normal will resume curbside collection of landscape waste from single family and duplex homes beginning approximately the first week of April.

Normal residents may bring landscape waste to the Town’s landscape waste drop site at 1301 Warriner Street, Normal, IL. The drop site is open 24/7. Items should be placed loose in the pile – no plastic bags are permitted. Please bring only landscape waste, as defined below, to the landscape waste drop site. Sticks and other debris are not permitted.

Definitions

Landscape waste is defined as weeds, leaves and flower plant wastes which easily decompose. Dirt, sod and grass clippings may be brought to the landscape waste drop site, however, these items will not be picked up curbside once collection resumes in April.

Brush is defined as sticks, branches and stumps in lengths less than 12 feet and weight less than 500 pounds. Ornamental grasses of 3 or more feet in length may also be included with brush. Brush from contractors will not be collected.
